How DrawFunder collects, uses, and protects your personal information
Last updated: March 2026
GDPR Compliance
DrawFunder is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We act as the data controller for information collected through this platform.
What We Collect & Why
Name and email address
To manage your draw entry and contact you if you win
Payment information
Handled entirely by the fundraising page you donate through — DrawFunder never sees or stores card details
IP address and device info
For fraud prevention and security monitoring
Entry and participation history
To maintain auditable draw records. Public draw pages show entry totals and a timestamped audit trail — not entrants' names or contact details
Legal Basis for Processing
Contract performance — processing your entry and payment
Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, platform security, and audit trails
Legal obligation — compliance with UK charity and financial regulations
Data Sharing
We only share your data with:
Fundraising platforms
When you donate, you are redirected to JustGiving, Enthuse or GiveWheel — whichever the fundraiser has connected. Their own privacy policy applies to your donation.
Draw organisers
Your name and email are shared with the fundraiser to contact you if you win.
We never sell your personal data to any third party.
Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to operate the platform and comply with legal obligations. Draw entry records are kept for a minimum of 2 years for audit and compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time (subject to our legal obligations).
